Jake is 2 year old springer spaniel who got into some bones on Friday.
By Saturday night he was presented to us as being a lot quieter than normal and wimpering in pain.
On closer examination and questioning it was decided to take an Xray and a bone was found to be lodged in the esophagus just above the heart.
Jake was operated on that night and the bone was removed through an incision in the chest.
Despite the invasive surgery Jake was well on the way to a full recovery next morning and even had a little to eat on Sunday morning.
